Joining and Participating
To become a WG member, you must be registered on forum.openpecha.org. Members may be added or removed during regular WG meetings with quorum. Each membership change includes a reason, selected from the list below.
Reasons to Add a Member:
- Participation in WG meetings, events, or activities
- Contributions to WG-related projects
- Self-nomination during a WG meeting
Reasons to Remove a Member:
- No participation for over 3 months
- Violation of the OpenPecha Code of Conduct
- Personal request for removal
These are general guidelines; the WG may consider specific situations.

Software Development Role Descriptions
Senior Data Engineer (Senior Software Developer II)
- Develop automation scripts for extracting, transforming, and loading Tibetan language data (ETL processes)
- Design and implement WikiBot solutions to automate data uploads to Wikimedia platforms
- Lead sprint planning sessions and coordinate activities for the development working group
- Mentor junior developers on clean code practices and conduct thorough code reviews of their pull requests
- Build AI agentic workflows to generate and curate data for Wikicommons
- Research and document innovative methodologies, converting findings into publishable research papers
Data Engineer (Software Developer I)
- Assist in developing and testing automation scripts for Tibetan data ETL processes under senior guidance
- Support WikiBot development by implementing specific features and conducting quality assurance testing
- Participate actively in sprint planning meetings and contribute to task estimation and backlog refinement
- Collaborate on code development while receiving mentorship on clean code practices and incorporating feedback from code reviews
- Contribute to AI agentic workflow development by implementing defined components and conducting data validation
- Assist in documenting technical processes, maintaining code documentation, and supporting research paper preparation
- Perform data quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy of processed Tibetan language datasets
- Monitor automated systems and troubleshoot basic issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members
- Learn and apply best practices in data engineering, version control, and collaborative development workflows
