1. Overview

This project involves the digitization, translation, and publication of three core Tara-related texts on the Pecha.org platform. The texts are: 1. A Praise to the Twenty-One Taras, 2. its commentary, Clear Rays of Light, and 3. an additional Tara Commentary. The project aims to solve the problem of limited access to these important texts by making them available in a clean, digital, and trilingual format (Tibetan, English, and Chinese) for scholars, practitioners, and the general public worldwide.

3. Goals & Success Metrics

  • 18/07/2025:

    • Milestone 1: Source original Tibetan versions of all three texts.

    • Milestone 2: Secure or commission the English and Chinese translations using available AI translation tool (https://workspace.pecha.tools/) and reviewing it by professional translators.

  • 20/07/2025:

    • Milestone 3: Complete the digitization and initial formatting of the Tibetan texts.

    • Milestone 4: Complete the review and editing of English and Chinese translations.

  • 21/07/2025:

    • Milestone 5: Complete the digitization and formatting of the English and Chinese texts.

    • Milestone 6: Align the trilingual texts for parallel viewing.

  • 20/07/2025:

    • Milestone 7: Conduct final Quality Assurance (QA) on all texts and formats.

    • Milestone 8: Stage the texts for publication on the production server.

  • Target Launch: July 23 2025

6. Dependencies

  • Content Sourcing: Depends on access to reliable original Tibetan manuscripts and high-quality translations.
